We all need a little something sweet now and then but you can suck down about 800 sugar filled calories in a hurry if you head over the Dairy Queen for a Blizzard. This is a pretty great tasting alternative that will give you a lot more protein, less sugar, and you'll satisfy that craving without the guilty feeling afterwards.

½ cup cottage cheese

½ cup nonfat milk

½ cup frozen strawberries

1oz Neufchâtel cheese

½ tsp vanilla

Sugar or stevia to taste

Thaw the strawberries in the refrigirator for a couple of hours for milkshake style, leave them frozen for ice cream style. If you sprinkle a little sugar or stevia on them before they start to thaw they will make a nice sweet juice.

The secret to the cheesecake flavor is the Neufchâtel cheese, if you like you can add more or less to suit your taste.
