Our friends over at MMA Outlet recently sent in a Gameness Feather for review. This is a brand new design from Gameness. The Gameness Feather fits between the Air and the Pearl in terms of weight. It is still definitely a light weight gi and the pearl weave fabric has been treated to make it lighter and softer than the standard Gameness Pearl. The company claims durability won’t be adversely affected.

Tatami Fightwear is a UK brand that produces some great gear, including the Zero-G. This is an affordable, good looking, and very light gi. We got in a sample of this gi a little while ago and have been passing it around the dojo, here is what we found out.

We got a chance to take a look at an X-Guard Killa Bee Kimono recently. I asked my friend Khalil Habib to put it through the paces and let me know what he thought. Here's his response after test driving the gi for a few weeks. (See pictures below the review.)

Pete's been buried in his design studio for the past few months working on a follow up to the Origin Genesis 550. This new Comp 550 is just a prototype and there is no release date yet but when I saw the pictures I thought we'd publish them as a little eye candy.

I received the new Storm Typhoon kimono in the mail a couple months back. Of course I was excited because one of my all time favorite bjj players (Andre Galvao) is sponsored and always wears this specific kimono, the TYPHOON. I have rolled in this gi over 20 times and really put it through its paces on the mat

This review almost didn't get written. We've received products for review before that were pretty bad, and it just seemed like rather than take up space in the newsletter with a negative review we'd put them on the shelf and hope the manufacture did a better job with the next product. Some people will argue with this philosophy and say that we should do more negative reviews, maybe they are right. We'll have to formulate an official position on this and when we do we'll let you know what it is.

The Ground Control Platinum 350 is a new design for the company. We've been testing one of the black 350s for a little over a month now and are really impressed by the quality of the gi, especially for the cost. It really is a great bargain for the money if you are looking for a lightweight competition gi.
